Personally, I would agree with this only if we got to choose which animation set we used. I don't want to walk around like some buff jock- I'm more on the slender and suave side, so the default male animations suit me very well. Other people may not feel the same, and in my opinion, others should have the option (note the word choice) to utilize a set that better reflects their characters. However, I absolutely do not want to see players being forced to use new animations that they don't like. We're all used to Cheap Elder Scrolls Online Gold the default by now, so changing it drastically without giving us a choice is a bad move, especially with the criticism poor Zenimax has already received.While I agree somewhat, I still don't want the devs to do this. Too much leeway for them to screw things up, and leave players with a certain gender/race selection SOL with animations that they don't like. I just keep remembering the blood elf female bow animation in WoW, or the kelari horse riding animation in Rift, or the female demon hunter bow/crossbow animations in Diablo 3... I hated them all, but I had no choice but to deal with them. I think ESO has great, one-size-fits all animations already and that's fair. If they do add new animation sets, they MUST also allow players the option to choose which animation sets they prefer. Kind of like how Cryptic does it in STO/CO.More variety is great - even though cosmetic changes are low on the list of priorities - but shoehorning characters into their gender or racial stereotypes is not a solution. If they are to do it, they should do it right and give us a choice of our preferred set of animations, the same way we have a voice selection. Otherwise I'd rather stick with a neutral version (which looks very fine in ESO, I might add).Since day one I saw how every gender/race has the same animations, made/makes the game seem cheap and unfinished( which it is ), the least they could do when/if this goes to f2p is add shop items that lets you change ESOMalls your stances. Even if it doesnt go f2p add this in the shop, cosmetic items that change your fighting stances, or give each race its own unique style( too much work for zos probably) or you can do both, each race its own different bit of fighting style and also shop items that change your style.I think that is one area where they did a pretty decent job, there's a much bigger variety of anims than there has been in any other TES games plus they hardly ever bug - so let's leave them as they are and take care of bigger issues... If we're to discuss cosmetic preferences, I personally would like to see a better choice of armors, not just the same mesh everywhere with mere changes of textures. I play heavy armor with one of my character, I've tried almost every style available till VR1 and haven't found one I like yet. Shields look like thin sheets of paper, pauldrons and kneepads are not even attached to the limbs, feet are all incredibly tiny, helmet lack details, open face options and are positioned way too high on the head...
